Kylian Mbappé is a French professional football player who plays as a forward for Paris Saint-Germain and captains the France national team. He is regarded as one of the best players in the world, known for his dribbling, speed, and finishing. He was born on December 20, 1998, in Paris, France, to parents of Algerian and Cameroonian descent. He started his senior club career with Monaco in 2015, where he won the Ligue 1 title in 2017.
He then joined Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent transfer worth €180 million, making him the second-most expensive player of all time. He has won five Ligue 1 titles and three Coupes de France with PSG, and also led the club to its first ever UEFA Champions League final in 2020. He is the club’s all-time top goalscorer and ranks third of all time in assists.
At the international level, Mbappé made his debut for France in 2017, at the age of 18. He has been nominated for several individual awards, such as the Ballon d’Or, the The Best FIFA Men’s Player, and the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year. He has been named to the FIFA FIFPro World11, the UEFA Team of the Year, and the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season multiple times. He has also won the Golden Boy, the Kopa Trophy, and the Ligue 1 Player of the Year awards.
