The Rise and Fall of Romelu Lukaku: The Untold Story of a Football Legend | Celebrity Biographies

Lukaku is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Roma, on loan from Chelsea. He is also the all-time top goalscorer for the Belgium national team.

Here are some facts about his life and career:

Lukaku was born on 13 May 1993 in Antwerp, Belgium, to parents of Congolese descent. His father, Roger Lukaku, was also a professional footballer who played for Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) in the 1990s

Lukaku started playing football at the age of five for his local team Rupel Boom. He later joined Lierse, a Belgian Pro League club with an established youth academy, where he scored 121 goals in 68 matches

Lukaku made his senior debut for Anderlecht in 2009, when he was only 16 years old. He won the Belgian Pro League title and the Belgian Ebony Shoe award in his first season. He also finished as the league’s top goalscorer in 2010 and 2011

Lukaku joined Chelsea in 2011 for a fee of £10 million, but he struggled to get regular playing time at the club. He was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion and Everton, where he impressed with his goalscoring abilities. He eventually signed permanently for Everton in 2014 for a club-record fee of £28 million

Lukaku moved to Manchester United in 2017 for a fee of £75 million, making him the most expensive Belgian player at the time. He scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for the club, but he fell out of favour with the manager and the fans. He left for Inter Milan in 2019 for a fee of €80 million, breaking the club’s transfer record

Lukaku had a successful spell at Inter Milan, where he formed a prolific partnership with Lautaro Martínez. He helped the club win their first Serie A title in 11 years in 2021, and he was named the Serie A Most Valuable Player of the season. He scored 64 goals in 95 games for Inter Milan

Lukaku returned to Chelsea in 2021 for a club-record fee of £97.5 million, becoming the seventh-most expensive player in history. However, he failed to replicate his form from Inter Milan, and he faced criticism from the fans and the media for his lack of goals and his controversial interview. He was loaned back to Inter Milan in 2022, and then to Roma in 2023

Lukaku made his international debut for Belgium in 2010, when he was 17 years old. He has since become the country’s all-time top goalscorer with 83 goals in 113 caps. He has represented Belgium at five major tournaments: the 2014, 2018 and 2022 World Cups, and the 2016 and 2020 European Championships. He won the Bronze Boot at the 2018 World Cup, where he scored four goals and helped Belgium finish third
